I haven't post anything there for, like, forever. I've become lazy, and I wasn't too happy with deviantart -- then I tried sheezyart but it was even worse, so I got this weblog but it's not the same and .. finally, I'm back.
Anyway.
There are some drawings I've made which are particularly important, for some reasons; Nightmare, even if it is a fanart, is maybe my most ... How an I say that? most personal, intense one. I think. I've wainting a long time before finally trying to colour it because I wanted it to be .. special. You know, not just colours on a pencil drawing, but something whole.
To be true, I don't know if I've achieved my goal -- what do you think?
Oh and, for the people who can't stand this emaciated version of Snape: I understand, really. I think of it more as a ... mental portrait or something? It's more about feelings than representation ...
Hmm...both are really great...I worship the colouring job, and yet, the detail on the pencil one smacks me as amazing. So...the pencil one just a bit more! ^_^ But both are cool!

When I first looked at this I thought he was melting into a metalic substance... The white patch (a window? a patch of light?) does wonders to the emotions residing within this picture. Lovely piece, very detailed.
Yeah well, a friend of mine asked if I was trying to make it look like melted chocolate ... ^^ (the effect can be quite different depending on your computer settings; that's often the case when the colors are added with a laptop, I think)
As for the patch of light ( it's quite of abstract but I thought of a door opening behind him projecting light on the wall in front of him), I've made another version with a light coming from theupper right-hand corner a no patch, but I didn't find it quite as good...
The coloring is well done, but I do think I like the black and white better. It's not at all that the coloring is bad- let me repeat- its BEAUTIFUL....but I can't see all the details in his back- i do like this, and it will be faved, but I do believe that the black and white sketch is my favorite of the two.

Yeah well, I don't think there are a lot of ways of drawing that are more expressive than with a plain pencil -- at least for me. Or maybe it's just the one I'm better with ... Anyway, thank you for your opinion! And all your favs and comments!
